VISA Travelers Checks

Visa Travelers Cheques make excellent traveling companions. They're safe, secure, and accepted around the world. Unlike cash, Travelers Cheques are replaceable or refundable if lost or stolen. Accepted at millions of banks, financial institutions and merchants around the world, according to local customs and practices, they're also available in the most popular currencies, including both U.S. and Canadian dollars, pounds sterling, the euro, and Japanese yen.  Visa Travelers Cheques come in denominations of $20, $50 and $100 and cost $1.00 per $100.

As an added convenience, Dual-Signature Visa Travelers Cheques are available as well.  These cheques carry two people's signatures as original holders yet may be used independently by either of the holders.  Dual-Signature Visa Travelers Cheques come in denominations of $50 only and cost $2.00 per $100.

What if they're stolen?
      If you're traveling in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, call the Visa Travelers Cheque Global Refund and Assistance Center at (800)227-6811. For travel in other countries, contact Customer Service. The Visa Travelers Cheque Global Refund and Assistance Center operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and employs multi-lingual operators.

Note that you are expected to safeguard all cheques as carefully as a prudent person would safeguard a like amount of cash. Certain restrictions as stated within the purchase agreement apply.
